Israel and Palestinian, Neighbours from HELL!!

Love your neighbour as thy-self, forgive and forget, don't repay evil for evil...  some of the great teachings of Jesus Christ.

The world has become a global village, the world has also become a global warfare video game, where throwing bombs and shooting your next door neighbour is a norm. How can we describe the situation in Israel and Palestine? so many words run through my mind " awkward, atrocious, evil, not needed, stupidity, history written wrong, Love not War!, Just chill out, bury all your weapons, hug" trust me I can go on for days if I choose to.

I am African, and when I watch the news and see what is going on in the Middle East, my eyes are full of tears, the way human lives are been destroyed for a peace of land, for a history that should be rewritten with common sense; come together and agree on the border issue, this are the borders, respect our boarder, we respect yours; I know a lot of people will say it's not that easy, trust me, it's that easy. the same formula that is not working/yielding result has been used to negotiate for many years, its time to face reality and one of the forces have to play the bigger role in my opinion, it should be the Israelite. The negotiating table must be hosted by a neutral state/party, definitely not the Americans, because we all know whose side they are on.

I wrote this article not looking at history and try to apportion blame to either Israel/Palestine, because, sometimes history doesn't give people the strength to move on as they continue to relive the pain of the past rather than find solution to a better future. In my own view and I am sure in the eyes of so many people around the world, it's time to turn a new chapter and say, you know what, things happened in the past and it's time to move on but lets not forget how we got here, so that future generations can learn from the mistakes of the past in order to avoid this kind senseless conflict and celebrate the future.

Why should the new generation and unborn generation suffer what their fathers have done? why should innocent lives continue to be wasted simply because of a piece of land? why is the occupation of Israel so important that they cannot see reason to the negative implication on the Palestine's? why wouldn't the Palestine recognise Israel as a sovereign state that have the right to exist as a free country.

The bigger picture of this conflict according the the guardian newspaper is this, Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza deprives the Palestinian economy of almost £4.4bn a year, equivalent to about 85% of the nominal gross domestic product of Palestine, according to a report published in Ramallah .
As well as its detrimental effect on the Palestinian economy, the "occupation enterprise" allows the state of Israel and commercial firms to profit from Palestinian natural resources and tourist potential, the report said.
"No matter what the Palestinian people achieve by our own efforts, the occupation prevents us achieving our potential as a free people in our own country," said Hasan Abu Libdeh, economy minister in the Palestinian Authority. "It should be clear to the international community that one reason for Israel's refusal to act in good faith as a partner for peace is the profits it makes as an occupying power."
When Binjamin Netanyahul concluded that "No international pressure will prevent Israel from acting with all power and that there will be more air strike on Gaza" it shows that Israel does not see things from the worlds eye, it proves Israel is out of touch with reality, it proves Israel feels because of the support they receive from America & other world powers no other nation can tell them what to do
The solution to this conflict of course have to be bilateral, both parties must negotiate; however, both Israel and Palestine must recognise each other as a separate state with right to exist; once that huddle is crossed, borders must be agreed and signed to law, most especially the region that is fuelling this conflict; the real owners of the land must be identified and where no claim can be made 100% to a piece of Land, there should be compromise; even God will be happy with Israel if they can compromise on this issue. The action of Hamas is not enough excuse to keep wasting innocent lives on a daily basis in Gaza, if the international community wants to help, then the route cause of Hamas attack on Israel must be identified; labelling them a terrorist organisation is not enough, the question is what has Israel done to attract such response from Hamas, there is no smoke without fire.
May the peace of the Lord reign upon us all, for those that believe we pray to the same God as, don't forget despite all your sins, he always finds a way to forgive; so let us as a people of God find a way to forgive ourselves when we have offended each each other; retribution is not the way forward. Let us see ourselves as brothers and sisters; Yes, our relationship in the past wasn't that great, but lets look to a better future together; a future where an Israelite will bring home a Palestine as brother and sister in-laws; a future where the success of one region is a success for all the region; a future where tourism will not only be in Israel, but also in Palestine; a future where trees will be planted rather than bombs; a future where love and peace will be the identity of generations to come; a future where Israel and Palestine will join military powers to protect each other.
